KiKA, together with ARD and ZDF, will present the “KiKA Award” for the third time in 2022.

The award honors children and young people who demonstrate special commitment and creates a stage for special dedication and outstanding projects.

Projects that show commitment in the areas of media, culture, sustainability and social issues or that produce useful and clever inventions are sought and awarded prizes. The decision on who should receive an award is made by a children’s jury. A special award is given to children and young people who have made a special contribution to other children. This is determined – unlike the other categories – within an audience vote.

The KiKA Award is presented in a total of four categories. Each award is supported by prominent sponsors from the media, music, science, politics and sports.

The big award ceremony will take place on November 18, 2022 at the Zentralheize in Erfurt and will be broadcast live on KiKA.
